Komura and Ming Palace of Corus hotel Kuala Lumpur

Wins Coveted ‘Best Restaurants’ Year 2013 Award
 

KUALA LUMPUR, DECEMBER 18, 2013 – Ming Palace Chinese Restaurant and Komura Japanese Restaurant of Corus hotel Kuala Lumpur have simultaneously won the Best Restaurants 2013 awarded by Malaysia Tatler for its exceptional service and cuisine. Both restaurants received the award sponsored by Noritake last week.

Raymond Yeoh, who is the vice president of Corus hotels Malaysia, attributed the success to a “fantastic team effort”. He added, “To win Best Restaurants 2013 for both dining outlets at the same time is a phenomenal achievement, particularly given that this year saw a record number of votes and almost 120 hotels and individual establishments were nominated; with votes cast being based on the quality of food, ambience and welcome at each venue.”

Ming Palace Chinese Restaurant offers the finest authentic Szechuan and Cantonese cuisine in a classic setting with five private dining rooms and able to hold up to 200 persons at a time. Its recognition as an award-winning restaurant was previously earned throughout the years - 1988, 1989, 1997 and 1998; an endorsement and testament to the unprecedented refined culinary skills of Ming Palace chefs.

While Komura Japanese Restaurant, fine and premium traditional Japanese cuisine and sake in a unique tatami room setting, seats up to 80 diners in total. It was previously voted by Malaysian Tattlers as the Best Restaurant for 1988, 1996, 1997, 1998, and 2005; Komura remains as the preferred Japanese restaurant for discerning connoisseurs.
